Hazrat Badsha Nisaar Ali Shah (R.A) was born in 1903 in Wani Purar, Maharastra District, India. He was known as Shahboodien Sirkhot before entering the path of Sufism. His spiritual life started as a young age when he became a mureed of Hazrat Rafik Ali Shah Warsi (R.A). While in the company and guidance of his Murshid, Hazrat Badsha Nisaar Ali Shah (R.A) had enhanced his knowledge in Tassawuf and Gnosis. His Murshid had revealed to him that he was destined to hold Khilaafat one day. With this revelation his Murshid also expressed to him that he will not be getting the Khilaafat from his Peer, but from a great Wali of Allah (S.W.T) who was yet to come, and would bestow him with Khilaafat.

Numerous years had passed, until Hazrat Khaksaar Ali Shah (R.A) from Basava-Kalyan, Hyderabad had arrived in Wani Purar and stayed at the Sirkhot residence. After admiring Hazrat Khaksaar Ali Shah (R.A), Hazrat Badsha Nisaar Ali Shah (R.A) took talib from him to further his spiritual quest. Hazrat Khaksaar Ali Shah (R.A) was a descendant of the Prophet (S.A.W), had bestowed Hazrat Badsha Nisaar Ali Shah (R.A) with Khilaafat and had given the title of Badsha Nisaar Ali Shah (R.A). Hazrat Badsha Nisaar Ali Shah (R.A) became a Khalifa of Hazrat Khaksaar Ali Shah (R.A). Shortly after been given Khilaafat, Hazrat Badsha Nisaar Ali Shah (R.A) was instructed by Hazrat Khaksaar Ali Shah (R.A) to undertake a meditational retreat in the jungle for forty days.

On completion of his meditation the Zikr of Allah was embedded on his tongue. Thereafter, he spent a number of years in the company of Hazrat Khaksaar Ali Shah (R.A) perfecting his knowledge in Tareeqat and other disciplines of Sufism. They used to spend many days and nights under a tree in the Zikr of Allah (S.W.T)

In the early forty’s Hazrat Badsha Nisaar Ali Shah (R.A) left India and embarked on a journey to South Africa to seek work in order to provide for his family. On arrival in South Africa Hazrat Badsha Nisaar Ali Shah (R.A) stayed in Johannesburg with a number of Family members, many of whom had also relocated to South Africa.

Only a few people in South Africa knew of his status as a Wali of Allah (S.W.T) and as word spread, more people gathered in his company. Hazrat Badsha Nisaar Ali Shah (R.A) was described by the people who knew him as having the most humblest of demeanor in which modesty was an outstanding attribute. He was a man of few words and constantly in the Zikr of Allah (S.W.T) day and night. Many people pleaded to become mureeds to which he eventually agreed. After making numerous mureeds of all ages he became popular amongst the people. Popularity is something which Hazrat Badsha Nisaar Ali Shah (R.A) wished to avoid, so he quietly retreated to a town in South Africa called Wolmaranstad, Western Transvaal. (North-West Province)

From 1964 Hazrat Badsha Nisaar Ali Shah (R.A) worked and stayed in Wolmaranstad and nobody was aware of his spiritual status. During this period a man by the name of Anwar Ebrahim who was a resident of Wolmaranstad recognized him as a pious man whose wisdom was beyond our comprehension. During this time Anwar befriended Hazrat Badsha Nisaar Ali Shah (R.A) and eventually offered him a job and a place to stay. Although employed by Anwar Ebrahim, Hazrat Badsha Nisaar Ali Shah (R.A) was not expected to do any strenuous work as his presence was a blessing to the business. Many people that he associated with described him as a person of outstanding moral values and spiritual integrity.

Hazrat Badsha Nisaar Ali Shah (R.A) left Wolmaranstad in 1972 and spent some time with his mureed Omar Sayed in Lenasia who was a complete devotee to his Murshid. After some time in early 1970’s Hazrat Badsha Nisaar Ali Shah (R.A) departed from South Africa for India. Soon after his arrival in India he took ill and Omar Sayed left and went to India to take care of his Murshid. On the 15 January 1974/21 ZilHaj, Hazrat Badsha Nisaar Ali Shah (R.A) made purdah from this world leaving behind a number of mureeds all over South Africa.
